In the Creative Coding & Computer Vision w/Processing (CC&CVwP) Workshop attendees were exposed to creative coding with Processing from the ground up, in a hands-on environment that will had attendees, designing their own computer vision and face recognition projects and writing and resolving the code to make their projects function. Within the CC&CVwP workshop, students learned the basics of coding, and employed intermediate and advance coding techniques that will allowed them to create interactive experiences that were be applied to websites, devices, phone apps, and interactive art installations.
Extension libraries were introduced such as the Twitter library “twitter4j,” the OpenCV library, and the Blob Detection library, among others. Workshop attendees brought their own laptops, USB web cameras for installations. Some used the laptop built in cameras for different kinds of human tracking.
